About JF Contracting

JF Contracting Ltd is an Auckland and Waikato–based contractor established in 2011, specialising in secondary steel fabrication and installation, certified site and workshop welding, and site-ready trade workforce supply that keeps commercial programmes moving.

We’ve supported some of the region’s key commercial projects including Commercial Bay, NZICC, City Rail Link (Aotea, K Road and Mt Eden), Westfield Newmarket, and Massey University,  delivering steel scope, bracing and practical site support where quality, coordination and turnaround matter.

Our crews include certified welders, experienced installers, and working foremen who take ownership of their scope, communicate clearly with other trades, and hand work back finished, compliant, tidy, and ready for sign-off.

What we do

Steel fabrication & installation 
Brackets and plates, platforms, stairs and handrails, shopfront steel, modifications and repairs, plus supporting steel as required, delivered workshop-to-site with clean install.

Seismic restraints & bracing
Steel and cable bracing systems, restraints and fixings installed to project requirements with a practical, coordination-first approach on active sites.

Certified welding 
Install support, repairs, and modifications carried out by certified welders with QA in mind, not “good enough,” but sign-off ready.

Civil support steel
Retaining and support steel, bracing and practical solutions for complex site conditions.

Acoustic floating slabs
Specialist floating slab installation for acoustic and vibration performance systems.

Workforce supply 
We supply our own trade crews, with leading hands or supervision where required — so scope is delivered, not just staffed.

General site works & remedials
Make-good works, close-out support, defects and punch-list work.  The stuff that blocks handover if it isn’t done properly.
